LITTLE BADGES - GO LARGE WITH 38mm BADGES

www.thebiglittlebadgeco.com

Hi

The virtual kettle's on..... So while I let it boil I just have this to say

Go large....

...we as consumers are always being asked to go large. Small/medium/large popular carbonated drinks in the cinema (the last large one we bought was like a bucket!) extra fries with your order, a few more onion rings (ummmm onion rings) Sharing bags of crisps....Like we actually share them!

And inevitably because of this... we now have SMALL through to XXXL in clothing. Mind you... I remember a time when a size was a size. If it said it was 40" chest...It was a 40" chest, not a 39.5" chest or a 41" chest. And those designer labels trying to make you feel fat. Every other shop you shop in you are a medium to large jumper....But if you buy pretentious designer clothes suddenly you are XXXL size with a whale warning on it.

I'm broad...Not fat, but I have fat on me. I remember in Ted Baker London store just off Covent garden once going in to buy a suit. They use a numbering system 1 to 5 or something like that. So I was in a hurry and said Jokingly, what size do I try on if I am fat bloke size. The assistant looked me up and down twice, and said start with a 5...but if that does not fit, we have nothing for you! I was a bit taken aback and blushed slightly. In the end I fitted into a 3 and a 4 size.

But the thing is.... It is always nice to have a choice. We founded our company on trying to create amazing little badges that could communicate a message or design within the limitations of 25mm. Not as easy as you may think.... and sometimes hard to convey to customers when they want to fit a paragraph of text onto a badge... and are dissapointed when you show them the mockup which is in 2pt type and unreadable.

We feel really proud, when we achieve it, and the designs that sell the best are always the ones that hit that brief.

But we have been increasingly asked if we can do the same badges.... in a bigger size. Just like a shirt that you like... you sometimes want it that little bit bigger. Your freedom of choice.

So we decided. Well hell yeah, why not!

We are very proud of our little badges (which have appeared on TV, press and News)(alas not a film yet!) So why not show them off in a bigger size.

So...Tadah!... We have. We now supply all our lovely lil designs...in slightly not so little 38mm. A whole 13mm bigger than the 25mm Button badges. And wow...Does it make a difference. They say size does not matter (mainly men say that), but that extra 13mm really does look different. We knew the sizes before we bought, and you look at it on a ruler, and you think..Okay..yep they will be slightly bigger, but when you actually compare them side by side... the difference is massive! 13mm massive.

Like all shiny new toys... we are a bit taken with the new size.. and have heard murmers from the 25mm badges that they may form a union and strike, if we promote the 38mm badges too much. But they have nothing to fear. We love the 25mm badges to pieces, but felt we had to offer our friends the consumer something different.

25mm badges have their place...and 38mm badges have their place. Although all of the 25mm designs look great as 38mm badges, where they really come into their own are for corporate clients, or people with events or special occasions they would like to celebrate.

The 38mm badges work great for bespoke badges. Your company logo, a friends Hen/stag do, a local event, a wedding day card attachment or favours as a memento of your special day. One day events at a show or just as a lovely keepsake, or a new product launch to be handed out in conjunction with your product.

And so...what are the other benefits of a 38mm badge. Well, for one they use a safety pin back, so are suitable for children... whereas the original 25mm badges have a traditional D-pin back which we mark as not suitable for children under 36months.

And..well sometimes you just want the message to be a little bigger. I personally like having a peak at 25mm badges on people as I like to see if they are wearing ours..but mostly to see what the message is. With a 25mm badge you have to look and become engaged with the badge, and the wearer is wearing it so that you enquire a little more as to what they are wearing.

With a 38mm badge, that peering is a little less intense, as you quickly see what the wearer is tring to tell you.

So, we are very very proud to now offer 38mm badges to our collection. We hope you will love them as much as we do... and it seems you already do!

So all it leaves us to ask is....

....would you like small....

....or do you want to GO LARGE!

Well, I can hear the kettle has just finished boiling so

Milk and sugar?
